Sony Alpha Community Event – Calgary, Alberta
Objective
Build community, promote the Sony Alpha lineup, and inspire creativity among local photographers.
Approach
Hosted at the newly opened $500 million BMO Centre, this event brought together nearly 250 photographers for an unforgettable creative experience. By leveraging my personal brand and influencer reach, I collaborated directly with Sony to plan and execute the event. I secured the venue, organized logistics, and developed a short-form video to document the experience.
Event Highlights
Attendees had the opportunity to test Sony’s latest cameras and lenses, connect with other creatives, and participate in a themed photography challenge for the chance to win a new Sony camera. The energy in the space was incredible—people kept asking when the next event would be.
Results
The event became one of Sony’s largest photography gatherings in Canada. Engagement was exceptional, feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the success has led Sony to request another collaboration in Spring 2026.
